WEDNESDAY around the WORLD: the ZOOPARK CAPPELLER.

the weather here is still rainy and cold so i’m in a lack of ideas of what to do with my girls… luckily zoe tiare loves animals and i have a cute little zoopark near where we live Parco Faunistico Cappeller. we have been there last year for the first time but maybe zoe was too little to be interested in animals. this time she was all “mom look that!” and “what’s that?” she was super happy to see monkeys, parrots and cangaroos! alma was attracted just by their movements (what do i expect from a one-year-old?!) but she will enjoy more this park next time! because we’ll surely come back!

il tempo qui è ancora piovoso e freddo ed inizio ad essere a corto d’idee su cosa fare con le ragazze.. per fortuna zoe tiare ama gli animali e abbiamo un piccolo parco carino vicino a dove viviamo il parco faunistico cappeller. ci siamo stati anche l’anno scorso ma forse zoe era troppo piccola per interessarsi agli animali. questa volta era tutto un “mamma, guarda quello!” e “mamma cos’è quello?”. è stata super contenta di aver visto scimmie, pappagalli e canguri! alma era attratta più che altro dai movimenti (ma cosa mi aspetto da una bimba di un anno?!") ma si divertirà di più la prossima volta! perchè ci torneremo di sicuro!

WEDNESDAY around the WORLD: il LIDO di VENEZIA

i have been to venice many times (it’s a short road – one hour by train) and if you ask me “do you know venice?” my answer will probably be “yes”. but the truth is that there are still a lot of places in venice that i haven’t seen! the lido was one of them until last sunday! i didn’t know what to expect but i found beaches, a beautiful sea, charming bridges and hidden architectures. plus there are not so many bridges here so it’s easier to move around with a stroller!

sono stata a venezia innumerevoli volte e se mi chiedete “conosci venezia?” la risposta sarà probabilmente “ma certo!”. ma la verità è che ci sono ancora un sacco di posti di venezia che non mai visto! il lido era uno di questi fino a domenica scorsa. non sapevo bene cosa aspettarmi, ma ho trovato spiagge, un bel mare, incantevoli ponticelli e architetture nascoste. In più non ci sono molti ponti qui quindi è più facile girare con un passeggino!

we rented a risciò and took a ride around the vaporetto stop… the famous excelsior hotel, everything is getting ready for the worldwide famous festival del cinema, hidden angles…

abbiamo noleggiato un risciò e girato nei dintorni della fermata del vaporetto… il famoso hotel excelsior, si sta cercando di preparare tutto per la mostra del cinema famosa in tutto il mondo, angoli nascosti...

 

next time i want to see another part of the island: malamocco and alberoni beach.

la prossima volta voglio vedere un altra parte dell’isola: malamocco e la spiaggia degli alberoni.

PLAYING in the RAIN.

it’s raining.every.single.day. we’re sick about this weather! it supposed to be summer and it’s cold, grey and .. rainy!! the other day the temperature was not so bad and the girls wanted so much going outside that we couldn’t say “no”. even if it was raining. it has been great! they loved spashing and playing with wet grass! no need to say that when we came back inside the house they were all wet, dirty but with the biggest smile!

piove.ogni.singolo.giorno. siamo veramente stanchi di questo tempo! dovrebbe essere estate invece fa freddo, è tutto grigio e piovoso! l’altro giorno la temperatura non era così male e le bambine volevano così tanto uscire che non abbiamo potuto dire di no. anche se stava piovendo. è stato fantastico! adorano sguazzare e giocare con l’erba bagnata! non c’è bisogno di dire che quando siamo rientrati in casa erano tutte bagnate, sporche ma con un grandissimo sorriso!

last saturday Alma Aiko turned one! her birthday party was all about “somewhere over the rainbow” which is “our song”: i used to listened to that song during the pregnancy and i sang it to her when she was a newborn… luckily the day was sunny and Alma had a lot of fun! as you can see i was busier talking to friends and enjoying the party instead of taking pictures. and i’m happy about it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALMA!!

lo scorso sabato alma ha compiuto un anno! il suo compleanno è stato tutto su “Somewhere over the rainbow” che è la “nostra” canzone: l’ascoltavo sempre durante la gravidanza e gliela cantavo quando era neonata. Fortunatamente il tempo è stato clemente e Alma si è divertita un sacco! come potete vedere sono stata più occupata a chiacchierare con gli amici e godermi la festa che a scattare fotografie. e ne sono felice!
