So... here I am... in the mood for some white... I'm looking forward for some white the new area of the house that we are renovating. I need space, air, less but beautiful objects and white. Definitely i need white!

eccomi qui... con una gran voglia di bianco.. Non vedo l'ora di avere più bianco nella parte di casa che stiamo ristrutturando. Ho bisogno di spazio, aria, pochi oggetti ma decisamente belli e bianco. Decisamente ho bisogno del bianco!

FRENCH women & their HAIR.

I found this article recently talking about French women and the 7 things they will never do to their hair… Apparently French women never dye their hair, never use a hair dryer (for environmentally reasons), never wash their hair every day (how could you style a bun with fresh washed hair?!), never accessorize them, never leave the house with wet hair, never forget the power of a scent (Chanel n5 means something right?) and last but not least never complain about the heat in summer, when sea water and sun add beauty to your hair. Everything just create that image of a natural beauty that it’s always identified with French women right? 

Ho letto questo articolo recentemente sulle donne francesi e le 7 cose che non fanno assolutamente ai loro capelli… Sembra che non li tingano, nè li asciughino col phon (per ragioni di tipo ambientalistico), non li lavano tutti i giorni (d’altronde come puoi farti uno chignon coi capelli puliti?!), non li agghindano con nastri e forcine, non si dimenticano mai di aggiungervi del profumo (Chanel n5 vorrà pur dire qualcosa giusto?) e infine non si lamentano mai del caldo estivo, quando acqua di mare e sole aggiungono bellezza ai capelli. Il tutto crea un’immagine di bellezza naturale che viene sempre identificata con le donne francesi giusto?

i would so love to have those “easy” hair… that type that you really don’t need to style… Straight or curly… I have to remember the one about the scent.. I always put my scent to my wrists but that’s could be a good place too!

Vorrei tanto avere quei capelli “facili”… quelli che non hai bisogno di sistemare.. drittissimi o ricci… Devo ricordarmi del consiglio del profumo! Di solito lo metto sui polsi ma i capelli potrebbe essere un altro bel posto!

I decided to inaugurate a new series of post based on what I found browsing the web (thank you feedly!).
The first one is this video from Ajinomoto General Foods called "Latte Motion".  Maybe you don't know it, but as most of the Italians I L-O-V-E coffee and anything coffe related (cappuccino, caffe latte...) Could I miss a video with 1,000 cups of coffee?! Every cup has a unique design and they all tell a story… You really need to see this!

the color of the sun. wonderful with blue. natural with green. sophisticated with black. bright with white. yellow is the first color that my daughter has learned to recognize.

many of you already know kinfolk, because i’ve heard about this magazine from some of your blogs. i’ve seen that the last issue was about house and i really really wanted to read it. unfortunately it is not sold here in italy, but… hey.. is there something you can not find on internet?!

this magazine is nothing less than perfect: the photos are so elegant and the articles are interesting. it’s not a common paper: every detail is well-finished, there is no advertisement and it explores the concept instead of his several expressions. so in this issue you’ll find how to be a perfect guest, how to enjoy your life alone, as a duo or more, and some recipies. a completely lifestyle experience focused every time on a different theme.

so that was my afternoon pause: a coffee, an homemade muffing, an happy beautiful pal and kinfolk.

now i’m really looking forward to buy the japan issue!

molti di voi già conoscono kinfolk, perchè ho letto di questo giornale da alcuni dei vostri blog. avevo visto che l’ultimo numero era sull’abitare e volevo davvero leggerlo. purtroppo non viene venduto in italia, ma non c’è niente che non si possa trovare su internet, giusto?!

questo giornale è semplicemente perfetto: le fotografie sono così eleganti e gli articoli interessanti. non è un giornale comune: ogni dettaglio è ben curato, non c’è pubblicità ed esplora il concetto invece che le sue molteplici espressioni. così in questo numero troverete come essere un ospite perfetto, come godersi la vita da soli, in coppia o più, e alcune ricette: un’esperienza completa sullo lifestyle, basata ogni volta su un tema diverso.

così questa è stata la mia pausa pomeridiana: un caffè, un muffin, una bellissima e felice compagna e kinfolk.

ora non vedo l’ora di comperare il numero sul giappone!

A NEW HAIRSTYLE.

right now my hair is long. too long. and flat. it’s common, right after a pregnancy,  craving a new hairstyle. i resisted for six months, but now it is time for a change. my hair is not straight, not curly… that non-sense in the middle that drives me crazy. so the first step will be a light perm. and then a cut. nothing drastic… a layered cut. and maybe bangs.

TURN OFF THE LIGHT.

I took a picture of candles. For two reasons : today is valentine day. I was lucky enough to find my valentine fourteen years ago (really?! so many years ago?!). but deciding to have dinner candlelight has another reason: in italy today is "enlighten less" day, a day to celebrate a more sustainable lifestyle. a popular radio program, caterpillar, has declared today "M'illumino di meno" and we're supposed to turn off lights, tv, computers, washing machines between 6pm and 7.30pm and think about the wastage of energy that we make. i'm trying to change my lifestyle in a greener way: LPG cars, walking as much as I can, cloth diapers, no fast food or junk food, buy local products, avoid meat as much as i can... and i'm trying to teach simple things to my girls: turn off the water while you are brushing your teeth, turn off the light going out from a room, don't throw littler on the street...
the earth is one and it's beautiful; i want to leave it the best as i can for my children and grandchildren.
