the flight from Milan is very short (one hour and half) but all the time waiting for boarding at the airport can be very hard with two littles! luckily we arrived at the airport, running, just 5 seconds before the closing of the gate … !! I remember when I was the one looking around and hoping not to have babies sitting in front or behind my seat… well, now i’m on the other side and even if the flight was not so crowded, i bet someone rolled his eyes with all the yelling and the walking up and down the aisle!!
il volo da Milano è molto corto (un’ora e mezza) ma il tempo che si passa aspettando di essere imbarcati in aeroporto può essere snervante con due bimbi piccoli… Fortunatamente noi siamo arrivati correndo giusto 5 secondi prima della chiusura del gate…! Ricordo quando ero io quella si guardava intorno sperando di non avere bambini seduti davanti o dietro… beh adesso sono dall’altra parte della barricata e anche se il volo non era così affollato scommetto che qualcuno avrà alzato gli occhi al cielo con tutte le urla e la camminate su e giù per il corridoio dell’aereo!!

I read in a guide that Bruxelles is one of those cities that you visit once you have already seen the cool and trendy ones (London, Paris, Barcellona…)Well, if you have the chance, please, go there! Not only for Bruxelles, which is nice, but more for the small towns around like Ghent or Brugges (I will post about them soon!). I have already posted about art and comics on the street’s walls here; unfortunately I haven’t seen any museum (not even the comic one :( – that’s one of the biggest news about travelling with kids!) and we spent most of the time walking around and eating french fries (so yummy!) but there’s a couple of advices:
:: remember to book the shuttle from the airport in advance from internet! the price on internet was from 5 to 14 euros while buying it right there costs you 17 euros each.
:: travelling by train during the weekends is way cheaper but, again, you have to buy the ticket online.
:: if you have kids consider booking an apartment instead of an hotel because, believe me, eating out every day can be very very expensive!!
:: last but not least – eat as many chocolate, waffles and fries as you can!
ho letto in una guida che Bruxelles è una di quelle città che visiti dopo aver visitato tutte quelle più trendy (Londra, Parigi, Barcellona…) Beh se ne avete la possibilità andateci! Non solo per Bruxelles, che è comunque carina, ma per le piccole cittadine lì vicine come Ghent o Brugges (vi scriverò di questi due posti a breve). Ho già mostrato un po’ dell’arte e dei fumetti che si trovano sui muri delle strade qui; sfortunatamente non siamo riusciti a vedere nessun museo (neanche quello dei fumetti – una delle più grosse novità del viaggiare con i bimbi!) e abbiamo trascorso gran parte del tempo camminando in giro e mangiando patatine fritte, ma eccovi comunque un paio di consigli:
:: ricordatevi di prenotare lo shuttle dall’aeroporto al centro città in anticipo da internet! il prezzo on line è tra i 5 e i 14 euro, mentre se acquistato li al momento il prezzo è di 17 euro!
:: viaggiare con il treno durante i weekend costa molto meno, ma ancora una volta bisogna prenotare in internet.
:: se avete bambini considerate l’idea di prenotare un appartamento invece dell’hotel, perchè mangiare sempre al ristorante, credetemi, può essere molto costoso!
:: ultimo ma non meno importante – mangiate quanta più cioccolata, waffles e patatine fritte possibili!!
