last weekend we visited a charming place near verona: borghetto. it is considered one the most beautiful hamlets here in italy… and it truly is! It is situated on the river mincio and it is a kind of little, medioeval venice. there are several mills, plenty of ducks and beautiful paths along the river. if you are visiting verona, or you are on your way to the garda’s lake, it really worths a visit! and…. last but not least… it is close to valeggio sul mincio, famous for … tortellini!

lo scorso weekend abbiamo visitato un posto incantevole vicino a verona: borghetto. è considerato uno dei borghi più belli d'italia e lo è davvero! è situato sul fiume mincio ed è una specie di piccola venezia medioevale. ci sono diversi mulini, molte anatre e bellissimi sentieri che costeggiano il fiume. se stete visitando verona o state andando verso il lago di garda sappiate che merita davvero una visitina! e... ultima cosa... è vicino a valeggio sul mincio, famoso per i tortellini!!

i was looking for this time of the year… spring! i love shopping for new flowers or plants, put everything clean and in order in the garden and start enjoying life outside. i don’t have a big garden but a super big terrace, part with wood and part with grass. last weekend has been all dedicated to clean up and repot. i have decided to create a small vegetable garden in pots: tomatoes, strawberries and some aromatic plants. the idea is taking care of them with zoe (alma is still too small i think). we still need to buy some other flowers and maybe something else for our vegetable garden… any idea? i was thinking about cucumbers, but i don’t know if they are “easy” or not. or salad… i will show you the whole terrace soon!

stavo aspettando questa parte dell’anno… la primavera! Amo comperare nuovi fiori e piante, mettere tutto a posto e pulito e iniziare a godermi la vita fuori. non ho un grande giardino ma ho una grandissima terrazza, parte in legno e parte in erba. lo scorso weekend è stato tutto dedicato alla pulizia e al rinvaso. ho deciso di creare un piccolo orto in vaso: pomodorini, fragole, erbe aromatiche. l’idea è di prendermene cura con zoe (alma è ancora troppo piccola credo) abbiamo ancora bisogno di comperare alcuni fiori e qualcosa altro da aggiungere al nostro orto…. qualche idea? stavo pensando ai cetrioli, ma non so se sono facili o no… oppure insalata…. Vi mostrerò presto la terrazza finita!

Zoe has just had a couple of.. effervescent days! she is full of life and always smiling or dancing or singing!

Alma has had fever this weekend… but you can tell it only looking in her eyes because she is a very tough girl! Can you tell she has 38° degrees looking at the pictures below?! Jumping and dancing on mommy & daddy’s bed with Zoe!

Zoe ha avuto un paio di giorni… frizzantini! E’ piena di vita e sta sempre sorridendo, ballando o cantando!

Alma ha avuto la febbre questo weekend… Ma lo si vede solo dagli occhi perchè è davvero una tipa tosta! Potresti dire che ha 38 di febbre guardando le foto sotto in cui salta e balla sul letto di mamma e papà?!

after spending easter with giulio’s family, we have been to the garda’s lake, on monday. we had picnic, we met some ducks, we have been a family. and the day was perfect!

we moved the clock one hour behind last saturday… which means more light hours, which means that warm sunny days are coming, which means picnics and bike tours, summer parties in the garden and outdoor life… and i. need. it. we have had a hard winter so i really need this spring! and Lucio seems to enjoy the morning light… as me!

abbiamo spostato gli orologi un’ora indietro lo scorso sabato, il che significa che stanno arrivando le belle giornate, il che significa picnic e giri in bici, feste estive in giardino e vita all’aria aperta. e ne ho davvero bisogno. abbiamo avuto un inverno difficile quindi ho davvero bisogno di questa primavera! e lucio sembra apprezzare la luce del mattino … come me!
