:: WatW :: BELGIAN BRUNCH!

Here we are... another brunch with four of our favorite friends (and our 5 daughters!!!)! after a libanese brunch and a culinary tour in USA a couple of months ago, it is the time of Belgium! One of the girls is from Belgium so it was natural to choose that country. I have been to Belgium last year  but we focused just on french fries and bier. Well... there is much more than that!! That kind of cousine mixes a lot sweet and salty in a combination that may sound strange but it is extremely tasty! For example peaches filled with a mix of tuna, mayo and parsley (sounds strange but it is delicious! - we used the same sauce for the vegetables in the first picture) or gouda cheese with cherries. Of course we had fries and waffles! These saturday brunches are becoming a tradition and seriously I love them!! I learn new dishes to cook (thanks Vale!) and we stay together and chat a lot! Everything with a good glass of bier (sorry Chiara! - next one after the childbirth! I promise!!) 

We are looking for suggestion for the next one... any idea?

Eccoci ... altro brunch con quattro dei nostri amici preferiti (e le nostre 5 figlie !!!)! dopo un brunch libanese e un tour culinario negli Stati Uniti un paio di mesi fa, è la volta del Belgio! Una delle ragazze è belga così è stato naturale scegliere quel paese. Io sono stato in Belgio lo scorso anno, ma ci siamo concentrati solo sulle patatine fritte e birra (!). Beh ... c'è molto di più !! Questo tipo di cucina mescola molto dolce e salato in una combinazione che può sembrare strano, ma è estremamente gustoso! Ad esempio, le pesche ripiene con un mix di tonno, maionese e prezzemolo (sembra strano ma è delizioso - abbiamo usato la stessa salsa per le verdure crude) o formaggio Gouda con ciliegie. Naturalmente abbiamo cucinato anche patatine fritte e waffels! Questi brunch del sabato stanno diventando una tradizione e seriamente mi piacciono un sacco!! Imparo nuovi piatti  (grazie Vale!), stiamo insieme e chiacchieriamo un sacco! Il tutto con un buon bicchiere di birra (scusa Chiara -!! il prossimo dopo il parto prometto !!) 

Siamo alla ricerca di suggerimenti per il prossimo ... qualche idea?
