travel with kids

As i've already mentioned i love travel! with my husband (my boyfriend that time) i've visited perù, ecuador, usa, australia, vietnam and several european capital cities.
in september 2009 we quit our job to do a worldwide trip of almost 8 months... when i told that to my parents they thought it was just a dream. we spared money for one year: no pizza, no shopping, :(( but we realized our project. in 7 months we've been to thailand (just some cities), laos, cambodia, japan, usa (half of our family lives there), cuba, easter island, chile, argentina and south africa. you can read about our trip here (italian only).
now that we are parents, we're looking forward to travel again with the girls and see the beauty of the world through their eyes, to meet other cultures with them... but of course our way to travel has to change! no more backpackers trips (for some years at least) and more children-friendly activities... that's the space where i'm going to write some advices about this new way to travel...

  1. Dear Barbara,

I wanted to stop by for a longer time, but just now found the time. I noticed your blog when you once made a comment on mine.

I find it great that you like to travel, too, I'd like to see your Australia and Perú pictures, I've also been there (take a look here and here if you like). For us, these were also travels before the kids...

We started to travel with our two kids two years ago, when the little one was 2. We've been to California, travelled by a motorhome and it was great, for them, too. We'll wait a little bit longer for the far away countries like Australia, though...

I'll come to visit again your blog, I like your pictures.

    1. Thank you Ioana! Travel is our life and we really hope that the girls will enjoy our adventures abroad! we love meeting new cultures, eating new foods, seeing different lifestyles... and i really can't wait to see the world through my daughters' eyes!
