:: WatW :: LONDON - part I.

A couple of weeks ago we spent 4 days in London. I was excited because, even if this would have been my fourth time there, I have never really "understood" that city. I used to remember some parts of it but not the whole "idea". One of the advantage of having kids is that you become slow...sometimes really slow. It is bad if you want to see many places but it helps on focusing on one part before seeing another! I tried to focus my daughters attention on everything british such as the double-decker bus, women's hats (seriously... it seems a must if you are dressing in a certain way!) and masterpieces such as the Clock Tower or the Globe Theatre.

Un paio di settimane fa abbiamo trascorso 4 giorni a Londra. Ero emozionato perché, anche se questa sarebbe stata la mia quarta volta lì, non ho mai veramente "capito", quella città. Ho usato per ricordare alcune parti di esso, ma non tutta la "idea". Uno dei vantaggi di avere bambini è che si diventa lento ... a volte molto lento. E 'male se si vuole vedere molti posti, ma aiuta a concentrarsi su una parte prima di vedere un altro! Ho cercato di concentrare la mia attenzione su tutto ciò figlie britannico, come il bus a due piani, cappelli delle donne (sul serio ... sembra un must se si è vestirsi in un certo modo!) E capolavori come la Torre dell'Orologio e il Globe Theatre .

we just had to start from Buckingham Palace... "Seriously, mummy, there are a Queen and a Princess inside there? Can we see them?"... Emm, honey, next time ok?

 

abbiamo proprio dovuto partire da Buckingham Palace... "Davvero mamma ci sono una regina e una principessa li dentro? Possiamo vederle?" La prossima volta tesoro ok?

we just loved Greenwich! We took a boat to go there (it was nice seeing London from a different prospective!) and had lunch with an amazing hamburger! There is always a market near where you arrive with the boat and, of course, there is the famous meridian! (more info here)

 

ci è piaciuto moltissimo Greenwich! Abbiamo preso una barca per andare lì (è stato bello vedere Londra da una prospettiva diversa!) E pranzato con un hamburger incredibile! C'è sempre un mercato vicino a dove si arriva con la barca e, naturalmente, c'è il famoso meridiano! (Maggiori informazioni qui)
